You Do The Math - the Sequester is a scam

I'll ask a few questions, then you can scroll through the US budget from 1879 to 2012 and see why I am asking these questions.

Question #1)   If the 2013 budget is HIGHER than any of Bush's budgets, and about the same as the 2012 budget, then why did the sequester hit this Spring, and border security is down, and FAA air traffic control is down, and military spending is way down, and illegal immigrants were released from jail?  This included the violent criminals and drunk drivers!  As I recall, Bush didn't have a problem with money to pay FAA air traffic control, he spent 100 billion MORE in Iraq and Afghanistan, and still ran up less debt than Obama.

Here are the Presidents' submissions for the federal budgets:

Bush spent a trillion dollars LESS than Obama each year, on average, even though Bush had:
    * the stock market crash of 2000 (before he was elected)
    * an "inherited recession"
    * the destruction of the Twin Towers and the World Trade Center, Manhattan's financial district
    * the crash of the airline industry
    * the resulting BIGGER recession
    * the start of the Global War On Terror
    * the conquering of two nations
    * the surge in Iraq during the Afghanistan war
    * the Bush era tax cuts
    * the creation of the Gitmo prison with over half a thousand prisoners of war
    * a partial bailout of Detroit Auto in 2008

The Iraq War was Spring of  2003 through Dec of 2010.

   while on the other hand, Obama:
   * had a smaller stock market crash (which he helped cause with guaranteed home loans)
   * had one recession, not two
   * had 1 and 1/2 wars that were trailing off, not 2 wars that were in full tilt (twice as costly!!)
   * ended the Iraq War to pay for the surge in Afghanistan
   * had a 3x bigger bailout in 2009
   * scaled down the Global War On Terror (even its name)
   * used drone strikes instead of boots on the ground
   * is not adding prisoners to Gitmo, now numbering under 200
   * is letting terrorists get the upper hand both abroad and at home
   * cut Benghazi security by a factor of 4
   * ended the Bush era tax cuts and raised other taxes
   * slashed the budgets for the military, the FAA, border patrol, INS and much more

Question #2)  If Detroit and Wall Street bailouts were in 2008 and 2009, then why did spending remain 900 BILLION and 1 TRILLION dollars higher than 2007 for the following years: 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013?

Question #3)  If spending on Iraq dropped to zero, and spending in Afghanistan is cut in half in 2012 and 2013, then why didn't spending go down?

With spending so high, where is our money going?  My liberal brother claims that Bush passed a law that didn't take effect until Obama took office.  Said law raised spending on seniors medical care.  That's part of the Medicare and Medicaid piece of pie on this chart, which are 800 billion dollars combined.

Medicare and Medicaid has always been around 20% of the budget.

Tell me how an increase in the federal budget of 600 billion can be blamed on seniors' medicare expansion, when that part of the budget is always around 20% of the total budget?  The increase is probably about the same percentage increase as the federal budget: 23% of 600 billion = 138 billion.

Medicare and Medicaid still 23% of the budget.

    Could it be the fact Obama is the "food stamp President"?
    Could it be guaranteed loans for all sorts of failing businesses, such as Solyndra and A123 Batteries, who both went bankrupt.
    Could it be that guaranteed student loans were increased, both in years and dollars?
    Could it be he brought back guaranteed home loans for risky buyers?
    Could it be even more funneling to the Teacher's Union and the Auto Union than we know about?
    Could it be he's spending more money to investigate/audit Americans and the press than terrorists?
    Could he be running more guns to Mexican drug cartels than we learned about in Fast And Furious?

    Could it be all of the above?

Here's Discretionary spending, in case you suspect seniors' medicare might be hidden there:

Dept. of Health And Human Services costs more than the war in Afghanistan.

Question #4)  Why did Obama brag about the economy and the war on terror, in the 2012 campaign, when those were the TWO things he obviously botched?

Question #5)  The national debt hit 17 trillion dollars in the Fall of 2013.  Divided by 315 million Americans means we each owe nearly 54,000 dollars.  Why did Obama run for President claiming that Bush's debt was a crime, when it was almost half of Obama's?

This includes the 11 million illegals who don't pay taxes, and half the population who aren't in the work force.  People with jobs will be paying more like $121,000.  And that's only if we cut spending by 1.3 trillion dollars TODAY.

So the question is...    to women who don't yet have equal pay, and to homosexuals who don't yet have gay marriage...   Was it worth it?

:(
